VISION

Our MISSION
To create a club that brings together new and experienced rowers of all ages to the sport within the local community through our Come & Try, Learn to Row, social, recreational and competitive experiences and provide a sense of well-being and belonging through our friendly club environment in the pursuit of personal and community goals.

CLUB PHILOSOPHY
“Discovering what’s Possible” in Sport is an important part of life for active young people today.
MBC offers new participants to the sport best practice programs to be able to achieve personal aspirations. With the notion of “Being your Best”, we encourage our young members to participate and compete in a sportsmanlike manner with Respect, Enthusiasm and Humility. Our rowers come from a broad spectrum. We value diversity and inclusion within our community and do our best to accommodate the wide and varied membership that may exist at the Mawson Boat Club. We now run a ‘Cando’ skills fun event to assist in the assimilation of beginners into our club culture.
